Through out the Fall 2014 semester at Fullerton College, as a novice introduced to a new climate, my classes have started off pretty well-rounded which gave me the first insight of how the rest of my time in college will be like. It is stressful to keep the mind motivated toward school, but it will end up being beneficial to have the knowledge that I would not  have gained if I were to skip it. The challenges that off set my motivation though are situations where I believed that I knew the material in the class, then finding out the opposite of my  internal instincts. Although the occasions when this happens is inept, but we can only try to confront these obstacles with exuberance and positive attitude to overcome them. It also is hard to be frugal with time-management as it dissipates like an evaporating puddle during summer's sunlit sky. Too many things to do with only such little time.Initially, it is already brought to my attention, after I had taken Counseling 50, that if I am not going stay motivated along my path in Fullerton College than why should I be here?  For this is a message that I continuously repeat to myself everyday when I wake up, for it is a candid question to consider. But what I tend to do to keep my head on straight with commitment/ focus in school is continuously go skate at the local park, at least twice a week. As I have also mentioned, I take a trip down to my favorite fishing hole every weekend too and go blow off some steam by emphatically gorging the body with adrenaline after the hook is set on the most minute vibration in the line. Those two things are what motivate me to do well in daily and they additionally hold
the screws in my head intact. I am motivated that I can succeed in college and in through out life.

Dear Grandpa,

I am writing this letter to just let you know what your grandson has been up to. I know its been awhile since we talked; about a year to be exact. Anyway things have been good. Just finished my first two semesters in college and beginning number three this year. After the first year of figuring out how the college system works, I have learned that it can be an intrepid voyage to as you come across your long-term goals. I still have yet to experiment with my dexterity in the art programs offered here, but its only because I am maintaining my focus toward my G.E. courses, once those are out of the way, I can finally venture among various art courses. However, I am still contemplating to settle on just one though. I do not know exactly what I want to fall into, so I am going to engage in a few different classes, like graphic design, screen printing, ceramics,... and see what I fall into. On the other hand, besides school, fishing has been great too. My brother and I have returned to fresh water fishing at our local hole. A Carolina Rig, 1/4 oz. egg sinker above a swivel and under it tie on about a 12 inch leader and a 1/O Owner hook, has been the way we have been catching some pretty mean Largemouths lately. With that set up and an assortment of colored Roboworms, preferred in dark blues/ purples/ reds/ dark greens, at our spot it portrays an harassing movement as it is being dragged across the bottom that  will suddenly elicit one of these green behemoths to strike the artificial lure. I wish I could show you the flourishing abundance at our fishing hole
, I know you would love it.

your grandson,
Parker
